Philip Boone’s The Jerome Sessions takes listeners on an adventure in the Wild West. Recorded at Ghost Town Studios, the authentic sound and grittier nature of the record is a shift from earlier, gentler, and more polished releases from Boone. “It turned into this thing that would swell and bloom and change shape every time we played,” he explains. The six tracks that make up the sessions not only represent Boone’s journey through love, uncertainty, solace and change but his embrace of new sonic territory.
Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and currently residing in Asheville, North Carolina, Philip Boone spent ten years paving his way through the Los Angeles music scene, performing regularly at notable venues such as The Mint and Hotel Cafe. With the honesty and realness of a good friend, Boone’s storytelling draws upon personal experiences to provide comfort and insight into shared human conditions, weaving listeners, feelings, time and places together via a common thread.
